Rock Springs
Rock Springs is one of the most potentially dangerous zones out of bounds at Jackson, just because the access is so easy (it's right outside the backcountry access gates) and the avalanche potential is so high. In addition to that, there are many places where you could accidentally fall or be swept off of gigantic cliffs. If you go out the top gate, you'll have cliffs to your skier's right and the rope line followed by more cliffs to your skier's left. A lower gate comes out down around there. You'll reach a bench you have to climb over, and then another open bowl. You then follow a drainage with some interesting features until you're able to traverse back into the lower part of the Hobacks. A S-SE facing couloir called Why Not Couloir provides an alternate, more dangerous entrance into Rock Springs.
