No Name Canyon

No Name is all the way out past Pinedale. It presents a long hike to get there and a long traverse to get back to the resort which may require you to do a little hiking, especially if you drop down too low. There are numerous cliff hazards, and avalanche danger is high in this giant terrain trap. The canyon itself is E-SE facing, but the terrain on the skier's right wall has a more Northerly aspect. The chutes and cliffs on the South side of the Canyon face North-Northeast, but are also much more dangerous. Not every couloir in there is skiable from top to bottom, so be sure you know what you're dropping into. If you go East along the ridge past the cliffs and couloirs you'll find short, steep, N-NE facing tree shots that drop down into the canyon and also have considerable avalance threat.
