Breakfast Chute
This is a fairly short and steep N-NW facing chute that comes down to the highway 40 from Engelmann Peak. It's a dangerous terrain trap and should be avoided in times of high avalanche danger.

Mort named it after he observed it out his kitchen window while sipping his morning coffee. Apparently, it ran overnight sometime in the mid 80’s. Mort skied it that day or so he told me, he skied it regularly and I skied it with him and 2 others in ’92. It’s a lot longer than it looks, has about 5 benches and finishes very steep after the last bench.
