Approach like you’re going to ski Vortex but keep going past to the next drainage. You are not likely going to be able to ski from the very top as it won’t be filled in most seasons and you’ll have to climb down. The run drops down a very long way anywhere from lower to upper 30’s in pitch to a dogleg in the drainage. The drainage will get steep and tight as it goes into the trees. Follow the gully all the way down to the very lower section of 7 Mile and to the road at the bottom switchback on the North side of the pass. This line doesn’t usually fill in early season and has documented avalanche danger during the Winter.
