East Snowmass Creek Chutes
The most dangerous terrain imaginable drops to the West down into East Snowmass Creek. Steep bowls up top turn into narrow slots through massive cliff walls. Many routes that look skiable end in deadly cliffs. Any fall or avalanche or wrong turn could easily be fatal. The effects of the wind and sun can be hard to predict and can form slabs that will readily break. Many of these routes won't be filled in most of the time. Kairns is considered the most consistent option.
