Bell Cord

North Maroon and South Maroon are split by the E-NE facing Bell Cord Couloir. It is incredibly steep and narrow and dangerous. The East Face of Maroon (South Maroon) can be skied to get into the couloir by cutting skier's left afterwards and avoiding the many cliffs. The whole entrance section is threatened by huge cliffs. A wrong turn or an avalanche at any point would be fatal.
