Vail Pass
The South Side of Vail Pass allows for motorized vehicles, meaning that the runs are most often accessed by snowmobile or even snow cat. A very popular zone, you’ll find a huge variety of terrain to ski and typically a deeper snow pack than most other areas in the Vail/Summit region. You’ll also find people skinning here sometimes. The North Side of the pass is non-motorized travel only, so that access is limited to skinning or hiking.
