Butler Gulch

The non-motorized travel side of the Jones Pass Area, Butler Gulch is a mix of easier and more advanced terrain. Despite several low-angle options that are well loved by beginners, most everything here has considerable avalanche danger, and should be approached with caution and a knowledge of safe backcountry protocol.
